Guangzhou is the capital of the Guangdong Province of China and an external trade center and comprehensive transportation hub for China. It is also the hub city of “The Belt and Road Initiative”, and is known as China’s “Southern Gate” to the world. With a history of more than 2,200 years, Guangzhou is the birthplace of Lingnan culture and was listed as one of the first national historical and cultural cities in China in 1982.

The People’s Government of Guangzhou City, referred to as the Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Guangzhou Government, is the local state administrative organ of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China.
