Utopia, Hongkong, China

Hong Kong is one of the most expensive cities in the world today. Hong Kong citizens often suffer from insufficient housing space per capita and high cost of living. People are confined to crowded spaces with their families, and many even suffer from mental illness. This high-density residential project tries to remind the utilization of space through the setting of shared space, so that people can have their own private space and socialize freely with others in the public space.

In “Utopia”, the outer side of the entire building is the residential unit, and the core of the building is the vertical circulation function and different activity areas, such as children's activity area, indoor library, fitness area.
