Barcelona is the largest city in Spain located on the coast of Mediterranean Sea. The city is divided into 10 separate districts. Barcelona is the largest community of Catalonia, an autonomous and self and it is known for its art and architecture. The city has been highly dense since the beginning, confined by the surrounding landscape of the mountains and ocean.

Politics:
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, and is a selfgoverned state. The city elects 41 city counselors for a four year term. In Barcelona, the mayor and city council hold more power than they would in the same positions in other cities. The city council has two sections, broken down into the political and executive groups. The communities are autonomous and are divided into provincias, which are involved in activities of the state. They are then combined with municipios, which have the right to manage internal affairs.
